Public Transport

Yarraville is on the Werribee and Williamstown train lines. Yarraville Train Station is very close to the restaurant and the train trip to Flinders Street Station from Yarraville is 19 minutes. Last train on the Saturday night is 12.03am. Trains before this time depart every half an hour.

Public Transport Victoria - Journey Planner

Taxi

For those wanting to get a taxi from the restaurant back to the city, as a guide the trip is around 8km.

Dinner

Where are we eating and how are we getting there?

Around 6pm we are going to head to a restaurant nearby with the interesting name Dig a Pony.

There is a train line in the way but ony 7 minutes on foot according to Google:

A short walk to Dig a Pony from the Trugo green.
Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements so we can have a chat to the restaurant ahead of time.

What should I wear?

Dress Code?

You could use this guy as an example to follow:

Or go with lounge suit as a guide.

Essentially we don't care! Basically stay warm/cool, comfortable and if it's a crazy hot March day wear some sun cream!

What is Trugo?

Yarraville Trugo Club

48 Fehon Street, Yarraville

Following the ceremony at the Treasury Building we will be heading to Yarraville, a suburb 8km west of Melbourne and the birthplace of Trugo.

Wikipedia has a bit to say if you'd like to have a little read and the Yarraville Trugo Club has a page dedicated to their sport as well.

We welcome everyone to join in but you can also just stand around and have a drink and listen to the sweet tunes playing on the club's tape deck.

Wedding Day

Hello all,

The wedding ceremony will be taking place at the Old Treasury Building located at 20 Spring Street, East Melbourne 3002 in the Margaret Craig Room. It is located right on the edge of the CBD at the top end of Collins Street. The ceremony starts at 1:00pm sharp so please get there maybe 10 or 15 minutes before!

At the conclusion of the ceremony we will all be heading to the Yarraville Trugo Club for a BBQ and some drinks and a game of Trugo if you want to participate. The evening will take us just down the street to Dig A Pony for dinner and drinks.

All places are shown on this Wedding Location Map so if you still need to book accommodation and are looking for somewhere close to the ceremony or reception this should assist. Please contact us if you need any accommodation advice.

See you all soon,

Ben and Erica
